The Old Wine Route is located south of Ensenada approximately 25 miles (40 km). It is made up of the 3 oldest valleys in the region: La Grulla, Santo Tomas de Aquino and San Vicente Ferrer. On this route you will find the first wineries and oldest vineyards where wine was made for the first time in Baja California, resulting in wines of the highest quality.
About the tour
You will be picked up from your hotel or Airbnb in Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe between 9:45 am and 10:00 am. During this 6-hour excursion you will be transferred to the Santo Tomas de Aquino Valley on the Old Wine Route.

Our first stop (1 hour)will be at Bodegas de Santo Tomas, you will have the opportunity to taste the labels Mexican lines (included in the price) and learn more about the first wine producers in the region. Santo Tomas founded in 1888 is the Baja California’s oldest internationally known vineyard for its excellent wines. The area where they produce the wine is a round building in the middle of the vineyards, designed by Alejandro D'Acosta.

- Participants will have a 15-minute waiting tolerance. If the participant does not show up, it will be understood as NO-SHOW and no refund will be made.
- THE WINE ROUTE company is not obliged to contact the participant by email or telephone before the experience.
- If the participant has any medical condition or special requirement, it is important to communicate it to the staff to consider their well-being and integrity during the activities and journeys of the trip.
- Once the trip has started, participants agree to comply with the safety and organization instructions of the trip coordinator, group assistants, as well as the local guides.
- Traveler insurance is valid only while the traveler is on board the transportation.
- THE WINE ROUTE is not responsible for objects forgotten or lost during the trip.
-It is the exclusive responsibility of adults for the safety and integrity of minors who attend the trip with them.
-The traveler or client accepts the terms and conditions of the trip, as well as cancellation policies once payment has been made.
