Despre activitate
Coventry was bombed flat in 1940 and rebuilt into something extraordinary — and this tour takes you right through it.
This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Coventry on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.
- Decode clues at the Lady Godiva Statue, the rebuilt Coventry Cathedral, and the medieval St Mary's Guildhall — each with a powerful story behind it
- Walk the route at your own pace and pause wherever the city's history catches you
- Ideal for curious visitors, local history fans, and any group looking for something a bit different
Available in 24 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian — see the full list when booking and choose yours when you start the game in the app.
Around 2 hours - any group size.
Lady Godiva rode through these streets on horseback — you're doing it on foot, which is arguably harder.

Itinerar
Starting in central Coventry (CV1 1JQ), open the Explorial app and enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message to begin. From the city centre, the trail leads you into Coventry's mix of medieval and postwar architecture — a city shaped equally by its ancient guilds and the devastation of 1940. The first riddles bring you to the Lady Godiva Statue and the iconic clock, where the city's most famous legend plays out in bronze. Next, the route leads to Coventry Cathedral — the bombed ruins of the old cathedral standing deliberately alongside the modernist new one, a powerful symbol of reconciliation and renewal. From here, the app guides you to St Mary's Guildhall, one of the finest medieval guildhalls in England and a building with a royal history going back to the Wars of the Roses. Around 2 hours of walking, any group size. A fully charged smartphone with mobile data is required.
