Despre activitate
Bilbao built a titanium museum on a post-industrial wasteland and became a byword for urban reinvention — the story behind it is better than the building.
This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Bilbao's monumental district on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.
- Follow clues to the Museo Guggenheim, Parque Casilda Iturrizar, and Palacio Foral — three landmarks that span titanium curves, Belle Époque gardens, and a neo-Renaissance seat of government
- Start whenever suits you and move at your own pace — no time limit, no pressure
- Works for families, friend groups, and curious travellers; photo challenges at the Guggenheim guarantee some standout shots
Available in 24 languages including English, French, German, Spanish — see the full list when booking and choose yours when you start the game in the app.
Around 2 hours.
The Guggenheim effect is real — your phone will explain exactly how it happened.

Itinerar
Starting at Bailén Kalea 2 in the Abando district, enter your 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message into the free Explorial app and begin a self-guided trail through Bilbao's most architecturally ambitious neighbourhood. At the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Frank Gehry's titanium masterpiece on the riverbank, challenges explore the building's structural innovation and how it transformed a post-industrial city overnight. The trail moves to the Parque Casilda Iturrizar, a formal garden of fountains, pergolas, and sculptures that has served as the city's green lung since 1907 — questions here cover its Belle Époque design and the family whose philanthropy created it. At the Palacio Foral, the neo-Renaissance seat of the Basque provincial government, you'll tackle riddles about the institution inside and the ornate stonework outside. The full trail takes around two hours at a relaxed pace, with no guide or fixed schedule.
