Kibera Slum Tour with a Local

The aim of organizing this experience is to enable our guests to learn more about the local community's way of life and the income we generate from the booking fees helps us in paying school fees for needy kids here in the slum. 50% of the booking fees from this experience goes back to the community. There are 5 stops during this experience namely; 1. Our Office We will first welcome you to our office here in the slum for introductions & briefing about the entire experience. The office has free Wi-Fi and super clean & nice washrooms. We also have a very safe and secure guest room for those interested in exploring Kibera slum at night and probably spending a night here in the slum at an extra cost. 2. Crafts Centre You will witness how locals recycle materials to make jewelry & other handmade items. 3. Meeting Children 4. Home Visit We then welcome you in one of the local houses 5. Cafeteria For a short rest and soft drinks/local food as we tell you more about the slum. >We are very flexible and can customize this experience to match your interests. >We run 2 social enterprises called OAC Kenya Tours & OAC Kenya Crafts.
