    The Chimneys was built around 1770 by an immigrant Scotsman, John Glassel, a merchant. Loyal to the British crown when the Revolution broke out, he left his property to his brother and returned to Scotland.

    Note: The tour is over 1+ miles long, with more than 15+ audio stories, and takes about 1–2 hours to complete.

    When you arrive in Fredericksburg.  your first visit should be at the world-famous Visitor Center. As we go around the streets of this town, you'll learn its history and hear tales of soldiers, residents, and even ghosts.
