Seattle Downtown Pioneers to Starbucks Self Guided Walking Tour

Despre activitate

Oldest Starbucks? Gum Wall? Original Skid Roe? Pioneer Square? What's the deal with the purple glass? Discover the story of Seattle, it's history, it's people, it's story. Go at your own pace, anytime. Our tour will take you through the bustling Pike Place Market where fishmongers still throw salmon through the air, wind down the steep streets where Seattle's downtown meets Elliott Bay, pass the exact spot where the Great Fire of 1889 started from an overturned glue pot, and end at the magnificent King Street Station where gold prospectors once arrived with dreams of striking it rich. You will hear stories about how Seattle literally raised itself up by one story after the devastating fire, and discover why one street was called Skid Road long before it became a term for down-and-out neighborhoods.
