    The cathedral was built at the end of the 19th century to mark 900 years of Orthodox Christianity on these lands. Used to be the main temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate.

  2. Taras Shevchenko National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine

  3. Golden Gate

  5. St Michael's Golden Domed Monastery

    It is the main Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and there is a functioning monastery on the territory. The Cathedral was completely destroyed in 1930's by Soviet regime.

You will see the remains of the foundation of the Church of Tithe. The baptism of Kyivan Rus began from this place. Here, Prince Vladimir built the first largest stone Orthodox church of Kyivan Rus. Also we will see The Idol of the Pagan God Perun made from wood, the 400 years old Linden Tree, little pretty Tithe Church of the Navity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and amazingly beautiful view on the Lower City Podil.

  14. Kontraktova Square

    We will take a walk along the popular paving stones street Andrew's Descent where local artists show their art works and sell souvenirs to the oldest square in Kyiv - Kontraktova. There we will pass by the oldest church in Kyiv - the Assumption Church of Pirohoscha, Monument to hetman Sahaydachny, fountain Samson, Shopping arcade, Kyiv Mohyla Academy.
