    Tour description:

    The tour will start with pick up from the port of Civitavecchia. A Professional English-speaking Driver with a private vehicle will be waiting for you right outside the ship, holding a sign with your name on to be easily recognized. He will be with you during the entire day.

    Start your 2-hour drive to Montecassino, observing the landscape as you go.

    Upon your arrival, begin a self-guided tour of the Abbey of Montecassino, one of the most well-known Abbeys in the world.

  2. Monte Cassino Polish War Cemetery

    Visit to the Polish War Cemetery

    Work on the construction of the cemetery began in 1944, shortly after the end of hostilities, and was finished in 1946. The official consecration, however, took place on 1 September 1945 during a multi-faith celebration conducted according to the rites of the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and Jewish faiths, and was attended by representatives of the Polish Government-in-Exile and of Allied Command.

    The Commonwealth War Cemetery for the various military groups and nationalities who are held in high esteem by the local people. New Zealand, US, French, British and so many others who helped to free Italy from the grip if the Third Reich.

  4. Sant'Angelo In Theodice

    30 min

    The village of Sant'Angelo, the battlefield of the Rapido River, the Freedom Bell near that site.

  5. Parco Della Memoria Storica Di San Pietro Infine

    30 min

    The village of San Pietro was completely destroyed in late 1943 by fighting between the advancing U.S. forces seeking to break the Winter Line and the defending German troops. The Parco della Memoria Storica (History Memorial Park) contains the ruins of the village, still laying as they were at the end of the war.

  6. Cassino

    45 min

    Free time for a light lunch with local products before returning to Civitavecchia Port.

  • No need to take Bus Shuttle from ship since our permits allow us to enter in the Cruise Port.

In Shared Tour Option only: Your Driver may make a few stops (usually 2/3 stops) along the way to pick up, or drop off, fellow passengers. This means that your Driver could arrive within 15-30 minutes of your scheduled pickup time.

  • For under 18 years old booked for this tour please provide proof of identity (copy of a document, ecc.). Without them the Clients could be asked to make payment of a full price balancing cash in Euro directly to the driver.
  • Option Private Tour: This is a private Tour. Only your group will participate and it can be modified and/or customized (if requested at booking time).
  • Option Shared Tour: Solution with a lower price dedicated to travelers sharing the vehicle with a small group (up to 8 people per vehicle). Not customizable. It is not possible to include attractions tickets purchased by your own.
