This is the perfect spot to enjoy your boxed lunch surrounded by one of Patagonia's most iconic landscapes.

The starting point of the trek and Argentina's national trekking capital. After a scenic drive from El Calafate, the group makes a short stop in this small mountain village at the foot of the Andes, where the certified bilingual guide joins the group before heading to the trailhead. At the end of the day, hikers return here before the transfer back to El Calafate.

A scenic viewpoint reached during the first part of the hike, after climbing through native forest. From here travelers enjoy stunning views of the Piedras Blancas glacier hanging on the slopes of the Fitz Roy massif.
