What Does “Yangon” means?
Yangon literally means ‘end of strife'.
Under the supervision of Englishmen, Dr. William Montgomery and Captain Fraser, Rangoon became the most beautiful and cleanest city in Southeast Asia and made it capital. It is supposed to be built 2000 years ago by the Mon people, now located in the center of Yangon city center like a roundabout.

We will do the soft walking around Yangon City Center to see and photograph old colonial buildings and its architecture that is facing now deterioration and replacement of new building but we can still see 183 well maintained buildings by Yangon Heritage trust in the city center of Yangon; such as city Hall, High Court, Telegraph Office, Inland Water Transport Office, Myanmar Commercial Banks, Strand Hotel, General Post Office and oldest surviving Armenian church.
