The tour involves descending and ascending approximately 50 irregular steps.

  • WEEKEND&HOLIDAY: On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the itinerary may vary due to traffic restrictions and regulations imposed by the local authorities along the Appian Way. On these days, the tour will include the Catacombs of San Callisto and the Museum of the Walls (Museo delle Mura). However, access to the ancient basalt-paved section of the Via Appia Antica will not be possible. The itinerary has been specifically adapted to offer the best possible experience while fully complying with the current local traffic regulations.
