What better way to explore this great city than by having an indigenous inhabitant tell you stories about the history and evolution of this great city! Born and lived all my life in Shanghai, went through the bad and good times, still finding new inspirations. Traveled to multiple countries, Wish to share my native city and help people discover the best-kept secrets that have made me love this city myself!
The French Concession is the area of Shanghai that French government administered from 1849-1943. The tree-lined avenues and the many fine old houses still retain an air of the "Paris of the East". In particular, the many wrought iron fences and stair railings will look alike Paris.
