This murder mystery experience is a true whodunit with suspects, alibis and a twist ending, set in America's most haunted town: the victim was killed during a ghost tour in Salem. Every clue hides in something real, a plaque, a statue, a facade in Salem's historic center. You will collect the evidence, piece together the case and accuse a suspect at the finale.

We offer 24/7 customer support and built-in hints to guarantee that you never stay stuck. The app will also provide real historical facts and local legends about the landmarks you're visiting.

You can play anytime, at any hour. It will take you ~90-120 minutes with optional cafe breaks and you can pause and resume whenever you want.

Itinerar

Become the lead investigator in a self-guided murder mystery game that turns Salem into your own crime scene. Your case: Bella, a famous travel blogger, was found dead during a ghost tour, and her killer is still somewhere, walking free. As the new detective, you will start at Lappin Park, next to the famous Bewitched statue, where the app hands you the case file and your first lead. The trail will take you through Salem's historic center, past many local landmarks like The Witch House, the Witch History Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum and the Salem Witch Trials Memorial. At each stop you will investigate your surroundings (inscriptions, statues, plaques, facades, etc.) to solve a puzzle that will reveal a piece of evidence. Every solved puzzle unlocks the instructions for the next chapter, plus some fun historical facts about the locations you're visiting. You can play alone or bring your whole group. The game can be played all day, any day: just book a ticket and play whenever you want. It ends in the same place where it starts and will take you about 90-120 minutes (including optional coffee breaks whenever you like). The total walking distance is about 1.5 miles (2.5 km).

1. Activate your quest. Go to the unlock page on the Questo website (questoapp.com/unlock), enter your email and your code.

2. Download the Questo app on your phone (App Store or Google Play) and create an account with the same email used for activation.

3. Once you're logged in to the Questo app, open the Quests section. Your quest will be there, ready to be played.

  • Booked more than one ticket? You can invite the other participants right after activating, or later from the Quests section in the app.
  • If you don't see your quest in the Quests section in the Questo app, tap "Bought a quest somewhere else?" and enter your code again. You can also upload a screenshot of your booking confirmation there.

  • The quest is available every day, at any hour. Go to the starting point and begin whenever you're ready.
  • Download the story and the map before you head out. After that, it works without internet.
