After a lunch break in Queenstown, view the Misty Mountains (The Remarkables) and Deer Park Heights. Continue to Kawarau Gorge, location of the Pillars of the Kings, then Arrowtown and Gladden Fields. Head off-road beside the Arrow River, crossing towards the Ford of Bruinen.
